"Delivery Was Kind of a Letdown..."
I ordered from Chark Bait, and yeah, the stuff did eventually show up... but the delivery timing was annoying!!! The tracking barely updated, so I was basically just guessing the whole time, and then it arrived later than I expected, which totally threw off my fishing plans.
The products themselves were fine once they finally got here, so I’m not saying everything was terrible!! But I really don’t love being left in the dark about when an order is coming. Maybe it was just bad luck on my end??? Still, if you need bait or gear by a specific day, I’d be a little careful

"Bad advice and way too much waiting around"
I reached out for help choosing the right gear, the advice I got was off. What showed up didn’t really match what I explained I needed, so it felt more like they were trying to push a product than actually listen. I kept trying to be patient and give them the benefit of the doubt, but it was one of those situations where you’re basically forced to wait around just to end up disappointed. In the end, I had to spend more money somewhere else to fix the problem. Really frustrating and a total waste of time.

The bait showed up looking rough and it didn’t smell right either. It wasn’t nothing like what I expected, honestly. Maybe I just got a bad batch, but I wouldn’t order bait from here again

I ordered from charkbait.com and had a question about my shipment. It took quite a while to hear back, and the answer wasn’t all that useful. Product was fine, but the support experience was frustrating. I’d think twice if I needed help quickly.

I ordered a few rigs and hooks from Chark Bait, and my first impression wasn’t great. Shipping was fine, no real complaints there, but the tackle just felt cheaper than I expected right out of the package. One lure had sloppy paint, and one of the hooks bent way too easily. Maybe I’m judging a little fast, but that was enough for me to decide I probably wouldn’t buy much gear from them again.

I had to return a reel that just wasn’t the right fit for me, the whole process was easier than I expected. Charkbait responded quickly, kept things simple, and my refund came through right when they said it would. I really appreciated not getting the runaround. Happy with how they handled it.

I went in hoping to get some help, which I guess was my first mistake. Most of the time I felt like I was invisible, and when I did ask questions, the staff seemed genuinely annoyed that I dared to need assistance. Really charming experience overall. Not exactly a place I’m rushing back to.

I tried using the site on my phone, but it was kind of a hassle. The pages loaded weird, the menu felt all over the place, and it took way too long just to find basic info about the bait. I ended up giving up before I even placed an order. It really needs a cleaner, easier layout.

"Not great packing at all"
The weird part is, the gear itself seemed like it could’ve been fine, but the packaging was really disappointing. The box felt flimsy, and I could hear things shifting around inside before I even got it fully open. A couple of the items already had scuffs on them, which is frustrating for fishing gear. I expected it to be packed a lot better. it left a bad impression and I’m not sure I’d order again.

I checked out charkbait.com hoping to grab a few specific tackle items, but the selection was kind of sad. I expected way more, and instead it felt like I was poking around a half-stocked shop that couldn’t quite get it together.
Some categories had products, sure, but the variety was nothing to brag about. A few things I needed just weren’t there at all, so I ended up feeling like I either had to settle for whatever little options they had or go waste more time on another site.
Maybe it’s fine if you only want the exact brands they happen to carry, but for me the selection was weak. I don’t think I’d bother making it my first stop again unless I had no better options.

"I’m Basically Certain They Were Guessing"
I called charkbait.com with what I swear were the most basic gear questions on earth, and the staff just didn’t seem very confident at all. Like, I’m no expert, but I could tell almost immediately they weren’t totally sure what they were telling me.
I got different answers depending on who I talked to, and it felt like they were piecing things together as they went. Maybe it was just an off day, but I’m practically 100% convinced I left the call more confused than when I started.
For a tackle shop, I expected way better advice. In the end, I bought from somewhere else because I just couldn’t trust the info, and I’m absolutely sure I made the right call...

I was browsing for a few lures and reels, and from my experience the site was easy enough to look through, but the product descriptions didn’t give me much to go on. I couldn’t always tell the exact size or what was included, which made it harder to feel confident before buying. Overall the site is fine, I just think clearer details would make shopping a lot easier.

"Too expensive for what it is"
I spent way too much time clicking around charkbait.com thinking I’d find some solid deals, but the prices just seemed high for what they were offering. Maybe there are a few decent items buried in there, but I didn’t feel like digging forever just to maybe find something worth it.
Once I added in shipping and looked at the total, it felt even less worth the effort. Kind of annoying because I wasted energy comparing stuff and trying to justify the cost, but in the end I just went somewhere else. Not really worth the money to me.
